Parks, Trails and Lakes in Maple Grove
There are nearly 1000 acres of parkland, 9 lakes and 35 miles of trails in Maple Grove. The park system includes parks with playgrounds, athletic fields, tennis courts and open spaces for outdoor activities. You can also enjoy the nature walks and biking along the lakes and through the forested areas of the City. The following is a brief description of a few notable parks:
WEAVER LAKE COMMUNITY PARK

Maple Grove residents are fortunate to have the Weaver Lake Community Park at their usage during the summer months. The park sits on an 80 acre site, with a wide range of facilities available for your daily usage.
There is a beach area that has life guards on duty daily, a boat launch access is also available on the lake. Here is a list of other amenities available:

ELM CREEK PARK RESERVE

Elm Creek Park Reserve is a year round activity center. The park sits on 4,900 acres and preserves its natural landscape beauty while offering several activities. There is an abundance of
wildlife to be seen while enjoying the activities listed below.

ARBORETUM
The Maple Grove Arboretum is a beautiful 15-acre park with over 100 species of trees. It is located along Elm Creek with trails that lead to Rice Lake and the Regional Corridor. The Angel of Hope, a Christmas Box Angel of Hope Statue, is for anyone who is grieving after the loss of a child is located in the arboretum. There is also a pavilion for rent with several amenities available for usage.
TOWN GREEN PROJECT
The Town Green is a new urban park. The park provides a community wide place to gather and focus on the performing arts. The park has a unique bandshell canopy covering the stage. There are also three pavillions which include a concessions space, rest rooms and a rentable meeting room for small gatherings or parties.
